Sleater-Kinney 10 years later

Female empowering punk rock band Sleater-Kinney is back at it and making no apologies. After a 10-year hiatus, the band has released a full-length studio album that says everything that they’ve been wanting to say for the last decade and more. This generation best knows one of the guitarists/vocalist Carrie Brownstein from IFC’s “Portlandia,” but what they don’t know is this comedian has so much more to her. With all of the qualities of the Sleater-Kinney of the mid-90s and early 00’s their message still rings true about feminism and working for the man but, with a subtle soft quality and beauty we’ve never seen before. Do yourself a favor and check out their new album, “No cities to love” out now.
