Intoxicated school bus driver gets 20 days

A West Chicago bus driver found by authorities driving a school bus while under the influence of alcohol was sentenced to 20 days jail time Monday.

Judge George Bakalis sent driver Jill Beebe to 20 days of jail time and gave her a two year probation.

Beebe, 43, was also ordered to 50 hours of community service and pay a total of $1,762 in fines and restitution according to prosecutors.

Beebe was charged with driving under the influence after she was arrested in September 2013 after dropping students of at West Chicago School.

A school employee reported suspicions to the principle of Beebe after smelling alcohol on her breath.
